Karen Sharp is a seasoned business advisor and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience. She is the owner of Proforma Impact Promotions, a branding and marketing firm she founded in 1997 that helps businesses elevate their presence through promotional products, corporate apparel, print, and multimedia.
Karen has advised hundreds of small businesses through the Lone Star College Small Business Development Center,Houston Community College’s Open for Business program, and the HCC Business Plan Competition, where she serves as lead advisor.
She also teaches business courses at the University of Houston Downtown and contributes to the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program.
With a background in IT and corporate consulting at firms like Shell Oil and BMC Software, Karen brings a strategic, real-world perspective to business development and networking.
